Green Earth cam and did a Radon Mitigation for our house after it tested very high. The price was extremely reasonable, and they got us on the schedule right away. William came out and installed it and did a wonderful job, they were quick and cleaned up after themselves. The best part is they leave a radon testing kit to make sure that the mitigation system is working to their standards. It is so comforting to know they are proving that the system is working and I feel so much better moving my kids into the house knowing we aren't exposing them to high levels anymore. 100% would recommend them to anyone, the follow up and guarantee are the best I found!

We are selling our home. The inspection company hired by the buyers also did a radon test that showed a value of 155 - ridiculously high for a Michigan home. The inspection company didn't even question the number. Just published it as if it was fact.

Fortunately, when the buyers' agent called Green Earth Remediation to compare rates to install a remediation system, they said the number didn't make any sense. So, they offered to do a retest for free. They easily could have just "accepted" the number, bid the job and possibly installed a system costing thousands. Instead, they came all the way out to retest our home for free.

Their test came back at just over TWO. Not 20, not 200. TWO! - and this what these guys actually do for a living, so I have way more confidence in their number than the one from the inspection service. Now, not only do we not have to worry about an expensive remediation system, I'm honestly still wondering to myself why the inspection company didn't even blink at that 155 value.

At any rate, thank you soooooo much to GER for being willing to come out and do this free of charge. These guys are great, and, the guy that they sent out (I think it was Greg) was terrific. Very personable, but also very professional.

I bought a home a few years back that needed radon mitigation and the system recently started a high pitched hum. William happened to be the technician for both the install and the recent home call. The drop in rate was reasonable, he quickly identified the issue, and swapped out the fan (which was under warranty that he took care of). Everything was back to normal within the hour. William was down to earth and actually remembered the house from a few years back. I almost offered the guy a beer but if I ever see him out at a bar, I'll be sure to get him a round.

Green earth remediation is not the cheapest choice around, but they do have competitive pricing. I did a couple quotes before choosing who to contract for my radon mitigation system I got quotes that were 25-50 dollars cheaper than green earth. After looking at all the examples for the systems each company installed, I decided to go with Green Earth because they are marginally more expensive but more quality work. There mitigation systems are expertly installed and also proven to work by their post tests.

They retested after the system was already put in, the levels were still below what the state suggests, but still too high for Green Earth to accept. I was in the process of selling my house when my radon test came back with a reading close to 40. I immediately called Green Earth, and they made the entire process incredibly easy. Just had a great experience with Green Earth Remediation. Zack drove up in less than ideal weather to honor the appointment, arriving on time. He worked all day to install the radon removal system, and explained things as he went. 24 hours after Zack left, exactly as he said, the radon level dropped. We have a continuous monitor and it has not been back up anywhere near the pre-install levels. Definitely worth the money and peace of mind!

We recently bought a home in Grand Haven which tested high in Radon during the home inspections. We contacted Green Earth Remediation and set up an appointment for the day after we moved in. Within a week of that appointment, they were out to our new home installing a remediation system.

They identified a location in the basement that was clear of other utilities and had clearance on the outside of the house to vent above the roofline. It was installed in about 5 hours and has been running like clockwork since.

Unexpectedly my new home built in 2024 and occupied for 15 months tested positive for radon. It had not been tested as part of new home construction or by the Township prior to occupancy. In fact, it never would have been tested had the plumbing contractor refuse to seal the sump pump until it was tested (home has ongoing issues with sink pipe odors). Green Earth Remediation were total professionals, even re-visiting the property prior to mitigation to discuss best placement of the system. With a beautiful new home, the last thing I wanted was an ugly system with visible pipes on the exterior. To my delight the two installers did a fabulous job "hiding" the main pipe in a rear garage utilizing attic space to hide cords, then venting on the back roof. Nothing is visible on the exterior of the home except the roof pipe and it's in an inconspicuous area. Installers were efficient, communicated progress, cleaned up debris and tutored me on components of the system and what to watch for over time. I was 100% responsible for the unexpected cost that included sealing the sump, but I am grateful such a deadly gas was discovered now and not in 5+ years. Green Earth is top notch. Thank-you!

Green Earth installed remediation system in my condo last week. Very responsive to my communications, and crew was on time. Installation was straightforward and performed well. When they left, you couldn't see any evidence of construction, as they cleaned up well.

I fully expected a radon test to result in a recommendation that we put a radon mitigation system in place, regardless of what the test actually said. GER was up front about exactly what the test was doing, and what thresholds they are looking for, well before the test was complete. He showed me the report directly on his app before sending it to me, which determined that my levels were plenty low enough and no system was needed. 10/10 would recommend.

Green Earth has 5 star ratings on Google because they have earned them! I asked on our local Facebook group for Radon remediation companies and I only got one response and it was for Green Earth. I checked out their website which was very informative and then went searching for reviews. I looked into a few other places but they did not have the website or reviews that Green Earth had so I gave them a call and scheduled for them to come give us a quote. Matt came and checked everything and gave us a quote, answering any questions that I had.
They installed about a week later-a sump pump and radon mitigation system. The gentlemen that came out were great-went over with me what they were going to do, answered my questions and went about the install. When finished, they showed me what they had done and explained anything else that we needed to know. They left everything clean and the install looks great. They left a radon tester over the weekend to make sure that levels have gone down to appropriate levels, picked it up on Monday and showed me the generated report and also emailed it to me. Couldn't be happier with our experience and will definitely recommend them to others:-)

I've posted before about GER, but to repeat, Zach the tech was courteous, knowledgeable and DETERMINED to get to the carpenter ant nest despite working in a difficult space (under a bathtub surrounded by an atypical platform). Green Earth Remediation went above and beyond to look at our 20 year old system that came with the house we purchased 8 years ago. They guys explained how the system worked, made every effort to locate all its parts and pieces and treated it with care based on its age. We did a radon test over a weekend for good measure and everything is working perfectly. Green earth remediation showed up the same day I called to set up a radon test. They were very detailed and knowledgeable. They left the test set up for 96 hours, obtaining readings of radon every hour. When they picked the test up, the technician went through and explained the results. Our average reading was a 1.3 so we will not need a mitigation system. Had it been higher we would have had green earth install a system.

Matt came out to do an estimate at our home. He was very receptive and listened to my situation and concerns of where to install radon mitigation system. I had an idea of where I wanted the system and we talked about all my concerns - during the process he showed me another installation point that I liked better that I didn't know was possible. William and Joe did the installation a week later. They, too, listened to my requests as a homeowner and installed accordingly. They were nice guys to hang out with while they got the job done in less than 3 hours. Fast, efficient, friendly, and affordable.

Had a test ($119) supplied by Green Earth brought in on Thursday. Monday they read the results and we definitely had elevated levels of radon. Contacted my builder and they paid for the remediation and the test. Green Earth had a cancellation and slotted me in for Tuesday morning. Very happy with the job they did. Family and friends have relied upon Schultz Radon Mitigation (Green Earth Remediation) for years across several properties so we were worried about finding an equally trustworthy company once we bought a home outside of the service area. However, Zach was not deterred by a longer drive to the east side of the state to provide exceptional services. We were in need of quick service as our sump pump needed to be replaced and we needed a radon system installed as heavy rain was looming. Zach was extremely helpful and responsive in explaining our options. Later that week, Zach arrived on time and was exceptionally courteous throughout the installation process. With Zach’s expertise, he made quick work of both installations and cleaned up well.

Our home tested above 6 pCi/L before the installation and after it has been reduced to below 0.5 pCI/L. I bought a house and tested the radon to be 10.5 on the lower level and 8.5 on the main floor master bedroom. Schultz came out to evaluate and give me a quote. The latest radon test is .20. It basically is eliminated beyond my expectation.

Even though our attic space was very small and our PVC vent was covered in spray foam, Zach crawled in there, chipped away the spray foam, and made it happen!

As the temperature has cooled, I began to see signs of little field mice in the garage and in a coat closet inside. I made an appointment with Schultz and they arrived promptly at the scheduled time. An hour later, the technician had surveyed the entire house, filled all potential entry points and laid bait stations externally and in the garage. He advised it could take a month for them to run through the cycle and be gone. The best part of the visit is that I don’t have to touch/empty any traps. Shultz is my go -to for all my pest inspections and radon remediation in our real estate brokerage.

I had an ant problem that started last spring and crickets in the basement always in the Spring. Thanks to Corby at Schultz I haven't seen any ants for over a month. I had them spray the exterior of my condo and also spray the basement for crickets. Usually I don't see crickets till around the end of May and into June. We'll see what happens when that time comes. The only insects that I've seen in my basement so far are dead ones! Thank you Schultz Pest Control!
PS...Just wanted to mention that they came within a few days and the spray was odorless!

I have not seen any live crickets in my basement and I haven't even seen a spider. I have vacuumed up only 3 or 4 dead bugs. This is amazing cause in the last 10 years I have been vacuuming up bugs in the basement every couple of days during the summer. I used to use Ortho Max. Not anymore.

We have worked with them for 5 years and have had no problems at all with any infestations. No upselling or pressure sales tactics here, which is so appreciated. Always friendly, timely, and professional.

Recently purchased a condo and during the inspection elevated Radon levels were detected. Our realtor contacted Shultz Radon Services and the owner was able to make time on a Sunday morning to visit the property and provide a quote since we had a short time window until closing. We contracted for the Radon abatement system to be installed and the work was done promptly and professionally. The workers buttoned everything down neat and clean and left no sloppy or cosmetically unpleasing sightlines. We just completed a Radon test and the readings are so low we tested twice to make sure they were correct. If you are in need of Radon abatement, you will be very pleased with the work Shultz Radon will perform. They have my highest recommendation as a very satisfied customer.

Purchased a home last December in Aberdeen Hills the home inspection revealed that we indeed had significant Radon problems. They came out formulated a plan for routing the abatement piping and gave us the estimate. So thrilled to have found this company. Used another "big name" 2 years ago and have been trying ever since to get their system to work. Not ever going to happen.

Called Schultz last week, they came right out and said there would be no problem installing a system inside (the other system is in my backyard!!!) I saw 1 adult roach and the next day 1 baby roach. Tech searched in all the normal places and didn't see anything but placed the glue type poison in places where it would not be touched. I haven't seen any since then and very happy. Would highly recommend and will use again if needed.

I was having carpet installed today and noticed what appeared to be evidence of a carpenter ant infestation under our baseboards. I called and Bill came out within an hour or so and helped to resolve the issue so we could continue with our carpet installation. We hired Schultz to help us reduce our radon levels in our basement and the rest of our house. If you aren't monitoring these levels and live in Michigan, you should start now. Ours were off the charts, and radon exposure is one of the leading causes of lung cancer.

Schultz was able to move our exposure from around a 12 pCl/L (very bad) to below one (currently sitting at 0.6 pCI/L), which is unlikely to cause harm. The process was inexpensive and quick.

I cannot speak highly enough of this company! First, they sprayed for spiders in our 113 year old home we moved into this year. They were prompt and it took care of the pests! Bill Shultz is wonderful to work with. Attentive to questions and easy to chat with when he wasn't neck deep in crawlspaces. Costs seemed completely reasonable and matched what our neighbors had shared, they are simply cheaper than national brand competitors. Tracking invoices and paying for services are all done electronically so not confusion over snail mail, fax, or other communication challenges. The only small annoyance was that some of the holes that needed drilling into concrete were not symmetrical. Yes it sounds small, but when the front porch has scattered holes drilled into it, it feels a little aggravating. Otherwise, everything was pretty well flawless.

We had a great experience with getting a radon mitigation system installed. I talked with Bill on the phone for a bit and he gave a lot of good information. We began to discover ants in our house and they came out the next day and did a thorough inspection and treated our home immediately. We were very pleased with the response from the company and the fact that we haven't seen any ants since!!!!!

You never want to hear someone say " are all those wasps on the inside of your window?". They were on the inside of the window, about a half dozen yellow jackets. The nest was under my siding just above the foundation wall and they were starting to penetrate through utility openings into the house. Shultz came out within 4 hours of my call and zapped the nest for $160. A week later - problem solved - no more yellow jackets or nest:-) The serviceman was friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. This was a good experience, he helped identify our mouse problem and explain how we could prevent them in the future. He spent a lot of time inspecting the house for problems. He also did not push spraying for a big issue if we weren’t comfortable at the time. I would have given five stars but when I called for an estimate it was only half of what I was actually charged but it wasn’t a written estimate so I let it go. Overall it was very reasonable.

Our neighbors notified they had an infestation that lead to considerable damage. I searched online for reputable providers in our area and Schultz Pest Control caught my eye. I was able to get someone to our house within a week to inspect for termites when I called. Bill came in and did a thorough review of all areas of our home where they typically enter - if we had them - and reported that our house was in the clear. The only thing I wish that they had provided is a simple report of the results of the inspection. I would have appreciated a simple acknowledgement on the emailed receipt that was generated. Otherwise, it was a very responsive and quality service, especially during the pandemic when many businesses are re-opening and very busy. I'd highly recommend.

Schultz Pest Control had come out a few years ago and identified and sprayed for a carpenter ant infestation in our centennial home. This year we were working on a project and thought we had another nest of carpenter ants. We called Schultz Pest control, they came out and identified the insect as a wasp, not an ant and spent about an hour of time helping to determine where they were coming from and into our house. They are very thorough and definitely know their bugs. I was also happy to know we didn't need to treat the problem with chemicals. The consultation fee was well worth the money!

I contacted Schultz based on recommendations from neighbors; we had carpenter ants coming in and I needed them gone! Our technician came out right at the scheduled time, listened to our summary of the problem, and explained his treatment method. He was quick and efficient and very friendly. More importantly, the treatment seems to have worked because I haven’t seen any ants. Thankfully I haven’t had to take them up on their offer to return if the ants make a reappearance.

The service technician was prompt - early in fact - and was very courteous and friendly. He took time to listen to me explain the problem and was good at explaining what he intended to do to treat the carpenter ants. He was more than willing to help me pull some materials away from the back of my garage to make sure that he could spray the entire perimeter. The spraying as solved the ant problem, which is what I have come to expect from Schultz. They have always been very professional and their treatments always effective. I would not hesitate to call Schultz again if the need arises.

Schultz Pest Control responded very promptly to a concern we had about carpenter ants. Bill was able to quickly assure us that we didn’t have an infestation and that we could easily eliminate the random ants with external spray. Haven’t seen an ant since he was here and the price for this service was very reasonable.

We had several flying carpenter ants show up in our kitchen as well as other black ants. I asked some of my friends and they recommended Schultz Pest Control. I called and they asked if I could text them a picture of the flying ants. We scheduled a inspection and treatment session for $135. They were a little late for their appointment but knowing how service calls go and that previous customer was being taken care of properly, we didn’t mind. The service technician took a tour of our home and found a few black ants in our north storage room directly below the kitchen. I showed him outside and where we thought they were coming from. He also walked the perimeter of our home looking at multiple other entry points. He began treating the tree as well as perimeter of our home for the carpenter ants and those pesky little red ants. I paid him by check and we went out to dinner. When we came home, we noticed my wife’s plants were moved so he could spray and frankly we haven’t seen an ant since! Thank you!

While treating our sunroom, Schultz noticed an engineering design for the sun room that created a challenge for the usual method of treating pests. He sought advice from the company that installed the sun room and was able to proceed with another approach to treat the foundation of our house while maintaining the integrity/strength of the sunroom flooring.

Zach was professional and extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The lack of a star is due to rescheduling the appointment to repair out radon fan numerous times. I also wish he would've offered to come in and look at the setup itself. After replacing the $275 fan we realized the entire system is installed wrong (by a different company) making the replacement fan completely useless. Also took with them the old fan- wish it could have been left behind
